Farm Share To Distribute Food At Homestead Campus

Florida State Representative Holly Raschein and Farm Share will host a free food distribution and community resource fair on Feb. 17  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the central lawn of Homestead Campus, 500 College Terrace.

The food bags distributed will include a combination of fruits, vegetables, meat, bread and canned food.

“Community partners and Miami Dade College’s Homestead Campus departments will provide information about important services and resources available in the community,” said lliana Marin, the assistant to Homestead Campus’ president.

Farm Share is a non profit organization that aims to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by distributing food.

Students who want to volunteer can contact Kevin Moore at kmoore1@mdc.edu or at (305) 237-5210. Faculty and staff can contact Sophia Cummings at scumming@mdc.edu or (305) 237-5045 to volunteer.
